I have worked closely w/ the dying in my capacity as a critical care nurse and being involved with hospice. I have to echo what has already been said...if someone has chosen their spiritual path, that path needs to be respected. Many people flounder to find that spiritual path, the last thing people need is having someone...a stranger...questioning that path as their last moments on this Earth. It is disruptive to the person dying and it is disruptive to the family who is present. I personally have come to realize that I don't believe in the divinity of Jesus and to have someone preach to me as I lay dying that the only way to be "saved" is to accept Jesus....If I can't accept him now, what makes them think I will accept him if I am dying...fear...is that what Christians want, people to make statements on the basis of fear. It is arrogant and unethical.

Some questions about wood stove? Please help!?

Wood stoves are much cheaper than any other heat here in MI. Installing one is a big job and must meet codes for safety reasons. A chimney can go out a basement window and up the side of the home to heights above the roof line. The metal chimney kit will cost more than the stove. Ashes must be dug out into a metal bucket about once a week and put outside . Basement stoves don't need fan and ducts if there are open floor vents above the stove, heat rises. My stove needs loading at least every 8 hours, sometimes more often. Barrel stoves kits are ok, but the thin metal won't last many years. Electric heat here can cost $300-$500 per month, that is why I burn wood.

Well my nails would never grow but you know I started to take good care of them without spending much. I only bought the miracle grow polish I think thats the name not sure. You can find it in WalMart or Target and just put it on every day and trim the ends of your nails but let them grow though just trim the ends so that they get a good nice shape and you'll see how in one week they will grow a lot. That's what I do and always have nice nails. Buy the clear polish. Hope this helped.

If you can swing a loan for $15,000 you'll probably be better off in the long run. If you're getting a loan for the car you're not going to get a good APR regardless of credit just because the value of the loan is so low that they will charge a higher APR to make money. Since your credit is good try to push for 10% or lower. Over 5 years that would give you a payment of $320. You already pay about 10% on one and maybe more on another. I'm guessing your take home is somewhere around $2,200/month so after rent right now you have about $1650 left for other expenses, back out $350 for a loan and you're down to $1300. It's getting lean at that point after you tack on car maintenance, utilities etc. If you need a car right now then there isn't much you can do but if you could squeeze by without a one for a year you could pay off one of those credit cards or close enough to pay off. That might put you in a slightly better position. Another option, but a riskier one would be to buy the car then see if you can get an introductory rate for balance transfer from a credit card for 0% for a year. I had one from Citi Bank that after the year went to 9.99%. If you did that and paid off $350/month you could have the whole lot paid off within 4 years. But that option includes a lot of if's and I don't recommend it.

I am a very pive kind of guy and I was wondering if anybody could give me some words of wisdom as to why I am not as "strong" as other people. I don't seem to have the same intensity as those around me. One of my issues is that I am always afraid of how people will react to me if I do take on the aggressor . Parents, what would be your initial reaction if....?

I would never swear at my children. However I am guilty of the occasional slip and swear in front of them but I would absolutely never swear at them and would never call them names. It blows my mind that some parents don't seem to care about the example they are setting for their children. It is our job to teach our children coping skills and give them the tools they need to deal with stress and unhappiness. This is taught by example. If this lady talks to her child like that in public I would be scared of what she does behind closed doors. Every parent who has ever had a toddler has felt like screaming at some point because of frustration but thinking about it and doing it are completely different.

Why am I losing so much weight?

I am a 20 year old male. I am just under 6ft tall. A few weeks ago, I was 144 lbs but I suddenly lost 8lbs and dropped to 136 over just the weekend. She was 19 on 3 Sept although some of her friends in same academic year were only 18 at end of August so it doesnt seem fair that she should be penalised. HELP please! mental disorder or normal?

Hi, I'm a 16 year old female. I'm the middle child of 3 daughters and live with both my parents however they fight a lot. When I was 11 my dad left home for the first time but it was only for a week, he leaves a lot but always comes home after a while. The longest time he left was for 3 weeks. However, my father has bought an apartment and plans to move into it after my older sister is dropped off at college (This august). A few years ago when i was 13, I was bullied by a group of girls in my grade, i would be so scared i spent recess hiding and would only leave school until all the girls had left. I would go home and sleep before I had lunch or did anything else I just get into bed and my mum noticed that something was wrong but I don't talk to her about my life (we don’t have such a good relationship) so she only officially found out when the school gave them a worrying phone call. I am now best friends with some of those girls and so there is no reason to remain "depressed" about that. The effect of the bullying should have worn off. For about 4 years now, I’ve had extreme mood swings. I've had days of major depression where i fake being sick to stay in bed and avoid going to school. At social outings I sometime get really upset and leave early without knowing the reason for why I feel so bad. I may burst into tears for no particular reason.There are times where I am extremely irritable and want to do nothing but sit in the dark under the covers. I have a terrible temper and often get into rages, when i get really angry with my siblings i may physically hurt them and my mother always tells me what a difficult child I am. At other times I feel quite normal but it doesn't last long. And sometimes I am over the top happy and nothing can bring me down i feel more sociable than ever, I'm laughing making jokes, singing, having the time of my life that my friends tell me I'm not acting normal and my mother says that if i weren't at home all day she'd say i was on something or drunk. My energy levels would be over the top and I’m probably the happiest most bubbly person alive. I feel like a puppet and no one knows who's pulling the strings. About three years ago I started cutting and ice-burning (ice & salt burns) myself when I got upset or angry but recently the cuts and burns have increased and i do it much more often. I got caught cutting in school once, it was a terrible day i felt so depressed for no reason, i was crying hysterically and had no control over myself. it was one of the worst and most embarring days of my life. At a party once i was dancing with this guy when i suddenly felt so sad i started crying and screaming and felt depressed for the rest of the party. Someone thought that the screaming and sudden crying was because i was wasted and attempted to force me to vomit but i had had only 2 gles and i could walk properly and so i was not even tipsy. Last year at a summer camp I attended someone caught cuts on my arm and I was put into the health center for 4 days until my parents had to take a 12 hour flight to pick me up, I felt as if I was in a mental hospital. I tried to run away from the health center numerous times they even igned someone to “keep an eye on me” yet I managed to run away I was brought back to the health center in a security car and it was scary. They’d call my parents and tell them “your daughter is on the loose on campus” as if I was some nut case. My grades this year have gone down tremendously, they started decreasing about 2 years ago but this year i failed 5 subjects in the first semester and 2 in the second. Even at 16 I still have nightmares that keep me up at night and I have trouble sleeping it takes me hours to fall asleep and i wake up numerous times every night. And i have gained more weight this year than i have ever gained (I’m not overweight , I just gained weight). I was diagnosed with ADD but i think it's not ADD and has something to do with another mental disorder. I don't feel normal and i've lost friends because of my constant extreme mood swings they always tell me i'm either too happy or too sad i have no in-between and sometimes i do feel that way. I've been going to a therapist since february and i don't see myself getting anywhere. She's not the first therapist i've been to, i've been to two others over the past 3 years and nothing is working with me. My mother also tells me i always blow things out of proportion. When i fought with her one time i ran away from home for about 7 hours. My boyfriend cheated on me with a younger girl 3 times i forgave him the first 2 times but the third time i unwillingly let go and i was depressed and lonely for about a month.

I have purchased one of those laptop bags with wheels on-line, however the handle was way too short to hold it comfortably and walk - and I am not tall. My friend on the other hand has the "Travellers Choice" and another friend of mine chose a bag similar to the ones that Pilots and Doctors use because that had additonal space for files and other things besides a laptop and came in a nice leather. I would suggest though that unless the website clearly states the length of the handle when extended, you should probabaly buy in-store and try it for yourself. I know BLUE is the better of the two, that is what we are currently feeding our Mastiffs. But my husband was laid off recently, and the Authority seems much more affordable at the moment. Climbing in the back seat of the car to untangle leashes. Then remembering I had the child proof locks engaged. Couldn't get out through the door and the pet barrier prevented me from climbing into the front seat. Had to dismantle the pet barrier to get out of the back seat. Not one of my finer moments. I currently have strep throat. I beleive one night my drainage formed into boogers on the roof of my throat. The drainage continues to run down the booger and not out my nose. I keep blowing but nothing every comes on the cleanex. Everytime I swallow a large amount of thick snot is swallowed. Family Problems?

My parents got divorced when I was about 10. I have lived with each of them on and off. I have been living with my dad for a few years now and his new wife. When my dad gets mad he explodes like tonight. My brother who moved out due to my stepmom is now living with my mom. I called her to say hey and everything and she asked to talk to my dad. I didn't think he would want to talk to her but I gave him my phone anyway. He got angry because my mom wanted him to tell my brother wether or not he would send him money for community college or if hes going to cut him off. My dad threw my phone on the ground and yelled dont ever give me that phone again. All I said was what am I supposed to do then (reffering to when my mom wants to talk to him) he said just say no. I think it was rude of him. He chose this life and he doesnt want to face it. Thats how he's always been. Last dream question for me.?

I had these dreams over the summer about this guy that was supposedly a boyfriend, or just a love interest. I had them almost nightly unless a big event occurred. I had never seen the guy before, so it freaked me out, and the dreams seemed so realistic. I am a conservative and here is my opinion on your question. I think that when someone has such a strong opinion on a matter, whether liberal, conservative, independent, communist, etc, they tend to utilize whatever information they have to further reinforce their original opionion. I can give you many instances when liberal arguments turn hypocritical. I think this is partially the problem with our state of affairs in general. This thought process leaves little room for compromise on issues. Liberals and conservatives need to come to terms that not everything they think is the absolute truth on matters. Surely, there are liberals and conservatives who could committ to at least admitting that they could be wrong on certain issues.
