On Gilmore Girls, Should Lorelai be with Luke or Chris (not who will she be with..., but should)?

I know, now it is basically impossible for Lorelai to be with Luke, and will most likely end up with Christopher. Which one should she be with and why? (my friends and i always argue about this.)
