Pacquiao, Mayweather - Whos right, and whos afraid ?

This is a well thought out question and is very accurate. The evidence is overwhelming at this point that Floyd is afraid to fight Pacquiao. I think what Floyd's plan was initially was to attempt to take the spotlight away from Pacquiao without facing him in the ring. If he could convince everyone that Pacquiao's victories were a result of illegal drugs, then fans would discredit Pac's accomplishments and give Floyd all of the glory. As we have witnessed this unfold it seems to have blown up back in Floyd's face and now he is backed into a corner. He doesn't want to share the glory with Pac, but he doesn't want to fight him either. This has the entire Mayweather camp scrambling for new ideas on how to discredit Manny. I think he is going to back out of the fight in Nov and let Pacquiao face another opponent in hopes that Pac will show signs of aging, slowing down, cutting, battle scars or any other weakness. As we all know, the only way Floyd will ever face Pac is if he no longer views Pac as a major threat. This entire debacle has severely damaged Floyd's reputation and if he does in fact back out of this fight it will define his entire legacy. If Floyd does retire now it will be a major victory for Pacquiao. People will not remember Floyd for what he has accomplished and who he beat, they will only remember him by who he didn't fight...and the name "Floyd Mayweather" will always be synonymous with terms like "coward" and "ducker".
