I've noticed conflicting information on here regarding CHICKENPOX AND SHINGLES. On the one hand,?

people say it lies dormant in everybody's system, whether they've had chickenpox or not. I didn't think that was true. And on the other hand, people say that you must have had chickenpox first, in order to later develop shingles from the same virus. Does anyone know the correct answer? Thank you.
